Position Overview
The Manager – InformationTechnology leads the IT department, overseeing the design,implementation, and maintenance of the organization’s technologyinfrastructure. This role ensures the alignment of IT initiativeswith business goals, manages IT projects, and supervises IT staff todeliver reliable and secure technology services.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute IT strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with organizational objectives.
Manage day-to-day IT operations, including networks, servers, applications, and security.
Lead, mentor, and evaluate the IT team to ensure high performance and professional growth.
Oversee IT infrastructure projects such as system upgrades, migrations, and deployments.
Ensure data security, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans are in place and tested regularly.
Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service level agreements.
Monitor technology trends and recommend innovations to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Collaborate with other departments to understand their technology needs and provide solutions.
Prepare and manage the IT budget, controlling costs while maximizing value.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and IT best practices.
Provide support for incident management, problem resolution, and user training.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
5+ years of experience in IT management or leadership roles.
Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, cloud technologies, and cybersecurity.
Proven experience managing IT teams and projects.
Familiarity with ITIL, project management methodologies, and IT governance frameworks.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to align IT strategy with business goals.
Budget management experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree or certifications such as PMP, CISSP, CISM, or ITIL.
Experience in enterprise IT environments or specific industries (finance, healthcare, manufacturing).
Knowledge of emerging technologies like AI, IoT, and automation.
Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.
