Purpose of the role:


The purpose of the role is to prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes and customer preferences, ensuring that flavor, texture, and presentation meet culinary standards and expectations. This is done in restaurants, catering services, or institutional kitchens to deliver enjoyable dining experiences while aligning with project requirements and consistently upholding a culture of safety, efficiency, and quality.

The role includes but is not limited to:


  • Preparing and cooking food items according to recipes

  • Ensuring food quality and presentation

  • Adhering to health and safety standards

  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen

  • Monitoring and managing kitchen inventory

  • Assisting in menu planning and development

  • Collaborating with kitchen staff

  • Following proper food storage and handling procedures

  • Resolving kitchen issues and challenges

  • Assisting in kitchen maintenance tasks

  • Assist in training within your department and to attend training sessions when requested in line with hotel requirements

Qualification / Experience


Education


  • High School Diploma or equivalent


Experience


  • 1-2 years
